Jhalong, Bindu, Samsing, Suntalekhola, Rocky Island

Beside the bank of the river Jaldhaka, Jhalong is a secluded hamlet yet blessed with an abundance of natural beauty. The pictorial view of the surrounding trees and its intense serenity attracts nature-loving tourists towards it. Samsing, Suntalekhola, Bindu are also three notable offbeat settlements nearby. They are all known for their scenic beauty. The Jaldhaka Hydroelectric Project in Bindu is the main attraction for bird enthusiasts as they can spot countless migratory birds here. Beside the shimmering Murti River, Rocky Island is a piece of Paradise.

Chilapata, Jaldapara, Gorumara

Declared a wildlife sanctuary in the year 1941 and a National park in the year 2012, Jaldapara has the largest population of one-horned rhinoceros. The forest is stretching over an area of 216.51 km2 of vast grassland with patches of riverine forests. Indian elephants, leopard, sambar deer, hog deer, wild boar, and gaur can be seen roaming freely in the jungle of Jaldapara. About 23 km distance away from Jaldapara National Park, Chilapata is another forest with abundant flora and fauna. You will also visit Gorumara which is famous for its National Park. It is in the Malbazar Subdivision and situated on the floodplains of Murti and Raidak River. Jungle Safari and Elephant Safari are conducted in all these three forests.
