Gorumara National Park

One of the wildlife-rich forests in Dooars is Gorumara National Park. A huge population of rhinoceros can be sighted here in this forest. Apart from this wild creature, Indian Rhinoceros, Sambar Deer, Chetal, Barking Deer, Hog Deer, wild boar, and birds like Scarlet Minivet, Sunbird, Indian Hornbill, and many other migratory birds are all in abundance in this forest.

Buxa Tiger Reserve and Jayanti

You will also be taken to Buxa Tiger Reserve which is stretching over an area of 760 km2. The forest is full of unique flora and fauna and Leopard, Asian elephant, gaur, hog deer, wild buffalo, monitor lizard, etc are in abundance here too.

You will not miss exploring the beauty of Jayanti as well. It is around 53 km distance away from Buxa Tiger Reserve. Jayanti is a village with a great exhibition of natural beauty. The riverbed of the village acts as a great picnic ground. Animals sighting is frequent here too as several animals come here to drink water.

Buxa Fort and Pokhari Hill
